PROGRAMS OF STUDY
Are You Ready?
Tiny Tigers
The tiny tiger program is for our smallest karateka. Through basic karate techniques, traditional etiquette and some fun and games, we help these students to develop focus, respect and longer attention span.
Youth
The children's class is geared toward students ages seven through eleven. The curriculum focuses on using the basics of Traditional Goju-Ryu and Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do to increase focus, attention span and self-control. Students also learn about safety, strangers and self-defense. Through learning the traditions and etiquette of Okinawan training, students learn respect for themselves and others
Teen / Adult
The Teen / Adult class starts by focusing on the foundation and basic techniques of Goj-Ryu and Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do and their applications for self-defense. Students are taught an approach to the Martial Arts rooted in the philosophy that Karate-Do begins and ends with 'rei' (respect). As students progress in rank they practice goal setting and the principle of 'kaizen' (constant improvement). Practicing these principles in the dojo helps students to increase self-confidence and improves the students' daily lives.
